A Happily Ever After of Her Own by Nadia Lee

Melinda Lightfoot, a preschool teacher with an unusual ability to flit in and out of fairy tales, never thought she would get into trouble…

…until the Fairy Tale Police arrest her while she is in Beauty and the Beast. They offer her a deal: Find Beauty, who left the story when Melinda trespassed into it, or be charged with the ultimate crime — Fairy Tale Killer. If that’s not bad enough the Beast tags along in search of his true love, and Melinda starts falling for the fairy tale prince. She must choose between doing the right thing and having her own happily ever after.

Warning: This title contains the following: Fairy Godmother, the Wicked Witch, dysfunctional fairy tale families, ax-wielding executioners and a happily ever after (or two).

Full Disclosure: This book was sent to me for review. Although technically I first read it back when it was a freebie anyway… don’t look at me like that!

*Sigh* I just love Fairy Tales!

This is a sweet, charming story jam-packed with a ton of giggle-worthy moments. Edward, or rather, The Beast ( And I keep wanting to call him ‘Adam’, as fans of the Disney version of the Beauty and the Beast have dubbed him)  is so out of his element in Melinda’s (read: our) world that his bloody adorable naivety is the cause for much hilarity ensuing in this 60 page Novella.

I’m quite impressed by how well the author developed Melinda and the Beast’s chemistry in the limited (again ya’ll, 60 pages!) amount of time they had together without it giving off a “rushed” feel. The novella has a very wistful feel about it, very much an escapist read. (One that I was in desperate need of.) Though I must admit, the villain and her sister ended up stealing the show for me. I was insanely tickled every time they came on the scene, not so much that I was rooting for Evil to triumph, but I do love when an author can write an entertaining Baddie.

For any lover of Fairy Tales and those of us who always wonder “What Happens after Happily Ever After?”

You can find A Happily Ever After of Her Own at All Romance E-Books, Amazon Kindle Store US and UK, B&NKobo, and Smashwords.
