Cc101-The Fishy Phantom
(Nathan and Mary are from my2008 Nano-Skin Deep. This is my work, please do not take it as your own. Rights reserved and all that good stuff.)
Mary floated next to him, her expression a mirror of Ms. Honnie’s.
Nathan snarled, and his arm snaked out, aiming a punch right to those pursed lips. His arm phased through and he fell forward, his balance lost. He hadn’t realized how close they’d been to the edge of the dock. Panic settled in as he fell.
He couldn’t swim.
Someone grabbed Nathan’s shirt from behind and hauled him back to his feet. He had been just seconds away from splitting his head open on the side of the boat. His whole body shook as he turned around. Mary was still holding his shirt, her expression hadn’t changed.
Nathan fumed and yucked his shirt from her. “Why are you helping me?”
Mary smiled then burst into a giggle as she swayed to and fro with the wind. “Mary had a little lamb, whose fleece was white as snow and everywhere that Mary went-..”
Nathan grabbed a handful of his own hair and groaned in frustration. He took a few deep breaths then looked directly into Mary’s transparent blue eyes. “Leave. Me. Alone.”
With that, he turned on his heel and boarded from the back of the boat. He ducked below deck, but no matter where he went, Mary’s tune was sure to go.
“Why does the lamb love Mary so? Why, Mary loves the lamb, you know.”

In practice
Is Mary vague enough for you?
Didn’t think of her as a Pisces consciously, but when I began doing these posts, I knew she’d probably end up being my example for it.
I hope you all enjoyed this dip into Astrology, I certainly enjoyed writing it.
Any Questions? Comments? Want to put me in my place? Notice any Piscean traits in your own Characters? Have at people, floors all yours.

* Motto of the Pisces
** Taken from Born on a Rotten Day by Hazel Dixon-Cooper
** Wish I could take credit for this, but Linda Goodman’s excellent book on Sun Signs was the first to associated Alice in Wonderland quotes with the Zodiac. I picked the ones I liked the most of her selection.
It’s funny – as I said before, both my sisters are Pisces and one is the quintessential Pisces and the other – the one born on the 19th and close to the cusp – is MUCH more of a Aries. Most of the time. But sometimes, about certain things, she’s VEEERY Pisces.
Bethanie- I’m getting a kick out of how well these seem to fit some people and not others for various reasons. I find the psychology of it truly fascinating, so thank you so much for sharing about your family and your own experience with the signs!
