200 km/h In The Wrong Lane

That’s the most accurate discrpition of how I’m feeling right now.

Reversing is the most frustrating thing I’ve ever had to learn next to Math. Made all the more ironic that the same person who taught me Math is now teaching me how to drive. The practical is on the 29th of this month. I’m trying not to have a mini-panic attack and failing miserably.

I’ve been experiancing the same fear of writting lately.

I’ve overwhelmed myself with projects. I need to take it slow and maybe put a few aside until I’m able to breathe. I’m hoping my procrastination lately is just a result of stressing over the driver’s exam, but I have the feeling that once again, I’m going to have to rearrange my writting hours.

For awhile, I had it set at 6:00 pm. Now that my sleeping pattern is once again ruined, I’m thinking it’s going to be late at night into the early mornnings that I get most of my writting done. Why not? I’m up anyway, might as wel spend it productively instead of feeling guilty about it the next day.

If that doesn’t work, I’ll probably be cutting off a good deal of time I spend on MSN messenger.

I know, I know. Big ‘DUH’ there.

“Discipline, I needs it.”

I will-as God as my witness- I will get to the point where I write every single blessed day. I just need to chill out and get to the root of the problem. Then pull that sucker out and hit the keyboard again. :)

Oh yeah, and I dig t.A.T.u.

Oh, I remember when I was going for my driving test last month. The rules have changed and they now fail nearly every person on their first go. Its not unusal to fail first time, it is actually unusual to pass first time. I was so nervous! But I passed, thank the lord! So good, luck, you’ll do fine!

I know how you feel with the procrastination of writing, it has only been very recently that my muse has forgiven me for not completing projects that I take on. I think that is my biggest problem I start something and then throw it away, but with the completion of a short story, and being a third of the way through my current story My muse is happy again and forcing me to write every day! I think that your writing will come back to you soon, you are probably just stressed, once you relax then it will all fall back into place!

It very well could be the stress of the driving test. I know that about did me in when we moved from MN to MO several years ago and I found out I had to retake the whole exam.

fyi I sent you an e-mail about Rose. If you haven’t received it, check your spam.

Blackfire- Thank you kindly, as always. You know just what to say. :)

Joely-I’ve heard about that; having to take the test again just cause you switched states, that’s nuts! Oh and yes! I did get it. So, my reply is probably in your junkmail. Ain’t that just the way? Sorry for the mishap.

  4. Joely Says:

Dang, can you send a reply again? I didn’t see it, evidently, and now my junk folder is wiped out. (It’s always pretty full first thing in the morning so I must have missed it.)

It’s hard to write everyday or make it a constant let alone when you’re stressed. I struggle with that too if it’s any consolation at all.

Mehh I still have to get my license. I know, I know, but honestly the opportunity has never presented itself and I can’t afford a car anyways. And the people here scare the bejesus out of me. Hell they scare long time, solid drivers.

Good luck with your test! You can do eet!

Not sure if this will help with the writing at all, sometimes it works for me. Sometimes my brain is working on something on the back burner and it gets a might pissy when I try to force or rush it when it is. Sometimes it just needs a break. Sometimes I find just giving myself permission to not write (unless the mood really strikes me) for a couple of days does wonders. It gives me time to just relax and not worry about it which takes the stress off. Sometimes that’s enough to get me writing again. But even if I don’t write during those couple of days I usually come back to it more refreshed and/or having worked most the way through whatever issues was bothering me.

Did I use the word sometimes enough? ;)

If you need a sounding board or someone to rant to I’m here!

Joely- Sure thing, it should be there now. :D Thank you kindly!

Wolo-Trust me, the only reason I’m even bothering at all with it is because my mom offered me her car whenever I need it. And apparently over the next few months, I’mg going to need it. *sigh*
Thank you for the vote of confidence however. And actually, I found last night that I wrote quite a bit, so I’m happy with that at least. What you’re saying makes a lot of sense, but my problem is that I haven’t even gotten to the pace where I write everyday, and I want to get there first before I allow myself any breaks, ya know? :)
Thank you again, I’ll definately keep that in mind. ;)

Driving test - gesh. That could give you a heart attack. I hope you don’t get the big black guy - he’s just plain intimidating. But he’s also interesting, in that he opens his mouth and this calm, charismatic [you don't wanna know how long it took me to try and spell that right, and then i forgot what i was trying to spell in the first place -_-; ] voice came out and you end up lowering your defenses. Then you get on the road and he doesn’t say anything so you wondering what’s he wondering. And you do the stop on the side of the road thing then the 3 point turn (I hated that), then your reversing on the two sides of the testing area thing, and then your parallel turn and then you head back to the place you came from and park. Then you go in the office with the guy and sit there while he writes up some stuff and it’s all quiet and you’re drying to know if you failed or not…and yea.

Dude. (HUGS) I wish you the best of luck. Just stay calm and I know you’ll pass - don’t hurt to pass the examiner a 50 either ;-) No that I did,k :P but I’m pretty sure my instructor did. lol.

Such is Bahamian Society - wanna get somewhere, or something? Start paying off some people.

And dude, my uncle was telling me - one of his workers paid $600 to get his license through the back door.

You can do eet! - legally ^^

    OH!

PS - GO TATU!! WOOW! *squeaky voice* - YEAH!!

  9. Soleil Noir Says:

Gee-gee- *snerk* Ah boi, now you have me not sure wether or not I would prefer that guy. Oddly, I like the 3 point turn. And parallel parking….it’s reversing on the straight lines that kills me!
